Water Day

After a week of very hard work piloting the upcoming Smarter Balanced Assessment, we needed a hands-on day of science.  Three centers gave us time to follow experiment, observe, and notice some astounding results.
Students were able to make Yen and paperclips float on water.

Yes, they were able to make 9 paper clips float!

They made 19 Yen float (and added more after this  picture was taken!)
Here they are!
If you added drops gently, you could make drops of water mound up on a penny.

Did you know that you could make eggs float by adding salt to the water?
